Frequently Asked Questions

1. I'm not sure about using compatibles in my printer

Compatible toner cartridges are built to the same high standards as the manufacturer's toner but are much cheaper. They are made to fit each specific printer and will fit your printer and be instantly recognised as a new compatible cartridge by the printer. Compatibles produce the same or very similar printing results and have the same life-time as the originals.

2. What is the 'chip' often refered to in the specifications

A chip is a little electronic circuit that is part of a toner cartridge and contains information about the cartridge model and colour. The printer will use the chip signature to identify a cartridge so it knows when a new toner cartridge is inserted and to provide information about the number of pages printed. Not all cartriges have a chip. However, we provide cartridges with chips in most situations where the maufacturer's original uses a chip.
